Behavioral health support that adapts to real life

Ember is a mobile platform designed to help people build healthier patterns around stress, mental wellbeing, and behavior change through structured, evidence-informed support.

Public beta planned for August 2026.

Support that fits into everyday routines

Mental health support is often difficult to access, difficult to sustain, or disconnected from the realities of daily life.

Ember is being designed to make evidence-informed behavioral support more approachable, adaptive, and practical — through short daily exercises, guided reflections, structured programs, and personalized support experiences delivered directly through the app.

Our first public release focuses on stress and behavioral wellbeing, with additional programs currently in development across mental health and substance use support.

Structured Programs

Enroll in guided programs designed around specific goals, challenges, and areas of support.

Daily Engagement

Short exercises, check-ins, and reflections are designed to support consistency without becoming overwhelming.

Personalized Experience

Ember is being developed to tailor support experiences over time based on engagement patterns and behavioral context.

Grounded in behavioral science and clinical research

Ember is being developed by a multidisciplinary team spanning clinical psychology, behavioral health research, public health, and software engineering.

Emerging from clinical and public health communities at Brown University and Yale University, Ember brings together expertise across behavioral health, addiction science, and digital health technology.

Momentum across research and behavioral health innovation

Ember is the 2024 winner of the Innovations for Substance Use Disorder (I4SUD) pitch competition, a NIDA-funded program hosted at Johns Hopkins University.

Ember is advancing clinical and translational research initiatives in behavioral health and substance use care, including NIH STTR programs currently in preparation focused on adaptive intervention delivery.

Ember also participates in regional innovation ecosystems supporting early-stage healthcare and technology ventures, including RIHub.
